The core speaker for the workshop was Mr. Rajiv Dingra who has been an ace social media practitioner & a very successful blogger (WATBlog) since 2006. His expertise in social media has always helped acquaint our participants with the ongoing trends in Social Media, famous case studies of brands on social media, strategies & execution on these platforms, deep insights about the functionality of social media etc.
Our participants for the workshop were mainly from a digital background that helped us in delivering the workshop one notch higher than we expected. As always, the session was extremely interactive & our participants appreciated the content shared with them. We also understand the importance of networking with professionals from a similar background & we’re happy that our workshops are a medium to provide that as one of the key takeaways.
Our primary key takeaways are:
- An overview on the Social Media industry in India in 2010 – from its inception since a decade
- A quick lowdown on all social media platforms – Facebook ,YouTube, Twitter, Slideshare, Scirbd , LinkedIn etc
- Deep Insights to be shared about how to use each platform from an individual or business perspective
- Building a ‘conversation’ brand image on these platforms – encouraging a 2 way communication process. Different Strategies to be discussed for B2B & B2C brands
- Tools used for social media marketing – their uses
- Discussing various famous case studies – their strategies on different platforms
- A social media handbook – course material structured by WATConsult
- A participation certificate from IAMAI which will count if mentioned on your resume/CV

The social media workshop was really good. I wasn’t very well equipped with my knowledge on social media but at the end of the workshop I must say, I have my basics ready!! The highpoint about the workshop was that it covered all aspects of social media & also gave me a run through on various other fields where social media is integrated. Since I want to venture out in Advertising , this workshop was apt for me!
